Settled In

Since my last post, Roman and I have been getting settled into life as newlyweds.  Let me explain to you how that has gone so far…

  • We both went back to work last Monday.
  • Monday night I came home with a 101 degree fever and felt like I had been hit by a truck.  An eighteen wheeler, to be exact.
  • I decided to stay home sick on Tuesday so that I could go to the doctor for a diagnosis of the plague.  Unfortunately, it was only a flu-like virus.  I stayed home all day Tuesday in and out of consciousness on my couch.
  • I managed to make it through my first week back home as a wife thanks to my fabulous husband and Nyquil.  I can’t decide which to credit more.
  • Friday night, we babysat our nephews.  How’s that for our first married Friday night at home?  Really though, it was a blast and we loved having them over!  Nothing like a five and two year old to wear you out.

The rest of the weekend was spent celebrating my friend Kristie’s birthday, watching the Falcons game, and indulging in some Mexican food.  Although it started out pretty rough, I am thankful that my plague only lasted a few days and I am now finally back to normal.

Now begins the massive task of writing thank you notes, shopping for Christmas gifts and easing into the holiday season!  And, this year, I find myself being more thankful than ever for everything I have been blessed with.

Here is another sneak peek at our wedding day.  I will do a full re-cap once we get our pictures back from our amazing photographer.
