Happiness

This weekend was exactly what I needed. Roman and I spent a low key ENTIRE weekend together, which hasn't happened in quite a while. Thanks to his new job, it will become a much more regular thing, and for that, I am incredibly thankful. It is so refreshing and reassuring to have that one person who can see you at your worst and still love you unconditionally. Who knows you are being totally irrational but will reassure you until they are blue in the face. Who will give you a hug and instantly make everything better. My husband is a saint, and I love him for it.

Friday night, we had pizza with Roman's brother and sister-in-law and our nephews. They are too cute for words, and with another little one on the way, we are so excited for all of the fun to come! It was exactly what we needed to end a long week!

Saturday we woke up and had a lazy day catching up on TV shows until our GroupLink event at church that night. GroupLink is an event aimed at forming new small groups for the church we have recently started attending. After two hours, we were lucky enough to find four other great couples to join up with. Over the next eight weeks, we will meet with these couples and get to know them to see where our group will go. I'm so looking forward to it and to getting to know these couples!

Yesterday, we woke up and went to church. The message once again was incredibly powerful and exactly what we neeeded to hear this week. That's the one thing I'm loving the most about our church. Each week I feel like the message is directed at us and where we are at in our lives and in our marriage. Afterwards, we had lunch and ran some errands before our second Financial Peace class. I'm feeling more at ease with our budget after the class and the plan that we have in place. I know God is going to do amazing things through the knowledge that we gain in the next 11 weeks of this course, and I can't wait. Our weekend ended by having dinner with Roman's mom, and it was great to catch up with her and her husband.

Overall, the perfect weekend to end a long week last week. Here's to a new, and no doubt better, week!
